Moisture Test:

In soil moisture testing, the sample is collected and weighed before it dries off. After that, it is put in the oven and dried at a specific temperature. Gravity Test:
Soil gravity is the ratio of the unit weight of the solid soil. It is used to determine the value of soil’s gravity dependent on its grain size. The soil mass is generally calculated based on the soil’s grain size ratio and blank space between grains. Several methods are used for gravity tests, and the most common methods that provide the most accurate results are Density Bottle Method and Pycnometer Method.
Dry Density Test:
The dry Density test is the most common type of soil testing. The test is conducted to help the builders and engineers to determine the density and weight of a certain amount of soil collected in dry form. The test is performed at 2 Levels.

Proctor’s compaction Test:
The test is carried out in laboratories for special-purpose testing. Compaction in the soil is one of the essential elements. The Proctors’ compaction test is done to find out the compaction features of the soil. The compaction of soil is estimated as the dry thickness of soil. The test helps to know how well the land can withstand excessive forces and pressure.
Atterberg Limits Test:
It is a highly technical type of soil testing carried out on one soil gain as a sample. The test is done for an essential feature of soil. The test determines if there is any water component present in it. The test is performed at three levels for limit evaluation, i.e.,
- Shrinkage Limit
- Liquid Limit &
- Plastic Limit
